Dining
Many of our meals are created right here in the Runamuk
kitchen. Which guests have encouraged us to brag about.
Trust me when I say, your bellies will not go without. We
believe that good food is one of the greater pleasures in
life and therefore serve mostly ranch-raised beef, fresh
ingredients and seasonally fresh herbs from our ranch garden
when available as well as fresh baked breads and desserts. Three
very good ranch meals are served daily, family style in our ranch
home
with us. Dinners range from roast lamb with
homemade mint sauce to spaghetti and meatballs to a beef
rib-eye that fills your plate to an elk roast cooked over an
open fire. Breakfasts range from our homemade recipe for
stuffed french toast, yogurt and homemade granola to eggs,
bacon, biscuits and gravy.
"I have traveled to some of the finest resorts and
restaurants in the world, and Jody's skill in the kitchen
rivals some of the best-trained chefs." Kerry, supervising

Runamuk is also proud to serve
you the finest in beef.
Since
the excellent Runamuk cattle are sold to outside buyers,
we have decided to serve DeBruycker Charolais(Jody's family)
beef to provide you with a savory experience. DeBruyckers
are third generation Montana ranchers who have been in the
ranching industry for nearly 100 years raising Purebred
Charolais for almost 50 years. DeBruyckers have their own
feedlot to fatten their animals, which means Runamuk Guest
Ranch has a direct line to the finest.
Lloyd
and Jane DeBruycker purchased their first Charolais bull
in the late 1950's and used it in a cross breeding program
on their commercial cattle. After realizing the tremendous
gain in red meat production and the incredible enhancement
in the quality of the beef, they decided that Charolais
was the breed for them. This started it all! They purchased
semen and a Charolais bull direct from France and in 1963
Lloyd and Jane began raising their first Purebred Charolais
cattle. Starting small, they raised and sold only a handful
of bulls each year always selecting the best of the best
to move forward with their genetics. In the Charolais industry,
DeBruycker Charolais, and their breeding stock lines, have
become the industry's benchmark.
How
do you know that you're getting quality? Well, DeBruyckers
have nearly 50 years of top quality genetic selection. What
exactly does that mean? This means that they have closely
managed their cattle herd for only the finest top quality
beef genetics. Runamuk Guest ranch proudly shares with you
the privately grown DeBruycker beef. Thus guaranteeing you
a terrific eating experience that includes tenderness and
savory taste. Also, DeBruyckers practice proper handling
and management of animals to minimize stress on the animals.
The
DeBruycker ranch has grown through the years to nearly 50,000
acres of owned and leased grass and hay land. The family
operation runs over 2000 purebred Charolais mother cows,
making it the largest Charolais herd in the world. They
own an 8500 head feed yard and market 15,000-20,000 head
of fat cattle each year. The family sells approximately
850 purebred Charolais bulls per year. These bulls are sold
all over the United States and semen is marketed throughout
North America, Australia, and South America.
