Dining
Many of our meals are created right here in the Runamuk
kitchen. Which guests have encouraged us to brag about.
Trust me when I say, your bellies will not go without. We
believe that good food is one of the greater pleasures in
life and therefore serve mostly ranch-raised beef, fresh
ingredients and seasonally fresh herbs from our ranch garden
when available as well as fresh baked breads and desserts. Three
very good ranch meals are served daily, family style in our ranch
home
with us. Dinners range from roast lamb with
homemade mint sauce to spaghetti and meatballs to a beef
rib-eye that fills your plate to an elk roast cooked over an
open fire. Breakfasts range from our homemade recipe for
stuffed french toast, yogurt and homemade granola to eggs,
bacon, biscuits and gravy.
"I have traveled to some of the finest resorts and
restaurants in the world, and Jody's skill in the kitchen

northwest Montana. The wines have met with excellent

recognition winning over 75 medals. They toast your good
taste!
Runamuk is also proud to serve
you the finest in beef.
As the excellent beef here at
Runamuk is sold to outside buyers and then moved to a
feedlot for fattening prior to being sold to Packing Plants,
we work with DeBruycker Charolais(Jody’s family) to
provide you with a savory experience. DeBruyckers have their
own feedlot to fatten their animals, which means that we
have the direct opportunity to choose the finest.
DeBruyckers have been in the cattle ranching industry for 39
years. In 1963 Lloyd and Jane DeBruycker began raising
cattle. They started with commercial cattle and then began
researching purebred Charolais. They purchased their first
Charolais bull and began to breed it to their Black Angus
and Hereford cows. Shortly after that, they purchased semen
and a bull from a cattle importer in Canada who had brought
over purebred Charolais from France. This started it all!
They started small selling a few bulls each year through
private treaty and then through several bull-testing centers
in the region. In the Charolais industry, Lloyd and Jane
DeBruycker and their breeding stock lines have become
well-known. DeBruyckers’ commitment to gathering genetics
data by following their cattle from conception to slaughter
has been invaluable in their, and others, breeding program.
How do you know that you’re getting
quality? Well, DeBruyckers have 38 years of genetic
selection. What exactly does that mean? This means that they
have closely managed their cattle herd for just the finest
yield in high beef quality. Also, they practice stringent
management of animals.
The DeBruycker ranch has grown
through the years to 43,000 acres grass and hay land, owned
and leased, where the family runs 1900 purebred Charolais
cows. They also crop 12,000 acres of grain and own 8500 head
of feeder cattle that markets 15,000-20,000 fed cattle each
year. The family sells approximately 700-800 purebred
Charolais bulls per year. The bulls have sold all over the
US and semen has been marketed to Australia and South
America.
So, sit down and enjoy your meal.
