Runamuk Benefit Trail Ride
June 28-29 2008

THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL EVENT

Thank you to all of the sponsors, participants, neighbors, friends, family and volunteers who made this event a success. This year went along more smoothly thanks to you all. This event could not take place without each of you who donate your time, goodies, and monetary assistance. It is all greatly appreciated. This year we were able to raise $18,319 because of the effort of all.

Thank you so much to each of you. We'll see you next year the last Saturday in June! We're already looking forward to it. Watch our video.

Sincerely,
Jody Dahl

Proceeds benefit Chase Hawks Memorial Association, a Montana non-profit corporation raising money in Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas to disburse to families in crisis that fall outside the traditional scope of aid.

2008 ACTIVITIES

Shine up yer spurs and dust off yer chaps, it's that time again! You got it...the 4th annual Runamuk Benefit Trail Ride, wine social, barn dance and horsemanship clinic. Set up yer camp Friday night and join us for a campfire. On Saturday, *starting at 10am*, enjoy an afternoon sitting on the back of a horse or comfortably in a horse-drawn wagon seeing the sites of the Bull Mountains in Roundup, Montana. Ride a total of 15 miles through timbered trails, open meadows and over sandstone rim rock. For lunch, tie your horse up and enjoy fine Charolais beef. Meander your way back to the ranch with more fantastic views and a gander at a homestead cabin. Once back at the ranch, relax before dinner with our popular wine social and live music. Top off your night with an ol’ fashioned barn dance. For those of you who can’t get enough time in the saddle, wake Sunday morning to homemade donuts and ride with us at *8:30am* as we cover more country on horseback.

Horsemanship& Cattle Handling Clinic

Presented by: Reed Trexler
Corvallis, MT

Reed believes a horse should travel and guide with no resistance allowing the rider to be in complete control at all times.  Reed realizes that each horse has different abilities for which he adjusts his program to meet their specific needs, by doing this each horse is given the opportunity to perform at their full potential.  He accredits his knowledge and techniques to some of the greatest horseman and women he has observed over the years.

Reed grew up on a pure bred black angus ranch in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley and at an early age discovered the importance of a well trained horse.  Now Reed has a working commercial cattle ranch of his own where he has developed and implemented a training program that reflects this philosophy.
